Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) has formally launched a partnership with the Philippine Seed Industry Association (PSIA) and seven other agricultural organizations to promote smart agriculture and food security through vegetable production.

The collaboration was sealed during the event “Smart Agriculture, Gearing Towards Food Security and Sustainability” held on June 30 at TAU’s Office of the President Conference Hall. Through a Memorandum of Agreement, TAU joins forces with PSIA, Pilipinas Kaneko Seeds, Ramgo, Enviro, East-West Seed, Advanta, Chia Tai, and the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office III.

The partnership aims to showcase high-quality vegetable varieties and foster collaboration among farmers, agri-experts, and industry leaders. As part of the initiative, TAU will utilize its Smart Agriculture Center’s greenhouses for the upcoming 2025 Vegetable Derby and Harvest Festival.
